London chamber
of commerce rebrand

Objective

This project was one of my final projects during college. My class was assigned to take on a rebrand for the London Chamber of Commerce and each come up with a unique rebrand design to pitch to the organization. A logo rebrand, stationery set, and campaign promoting the Chamber and its services was required.

Process

I began with a deep dive search into the organization, its values, existing brand identity and what they hoped to achieve with a rebrand and the campaign.

The Chamber outlined that they wanted an updated version of the logo to reflect modern objectives and outreach. They were open to using a different color palette and hoped to keep the symbol of the maple leaf as it resonated with the London community. This gave me the idea to create a logo which features a vector motif of a stylized maple leaf inside of two halves of a circle. The two halves represent the fluid connection between the Chamber and the community, like two halves reaching for each other.

The idea for the promotional campaign came from the Chamber's goal of gaining more members and connecting more local businesses and communities together. Puzzle pieces just made sense in this case! The illustrations piecing together the puzzle can be seen as a reinforcement of connecting and building the future of London communities together.
